I always felt that I wanted to make a difference. As a visual artist, I believe I have something positive and worthwhile to say that will make a difference to someone, even if it's just one person. It's been my professional journey to find my voice through photographs.

At the age of 16, a passion for the art of photography spurred endless hours of after-school shooting with my first 35mm camera, only to then seek perfecting my visions in the darkroom afterwards. This passion ultimately led me to pursue a Bachelors of Science degree in Illustration Photography from Syracuse University's S. I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.

Upon graduating in 1992, I took my creative ambitions to Los Angeles, CA, where I assisted a couple of established photographers, to learn the business of photography. Settling back in Rochester a year later, I landed a full-time staff position with Messenger-Post Newspapers. During that time, in 1995, I opened my freelance business, filling my weekends with wedding & portrait work , when I wasn't out shooting for the paper. Deciding to see what else the industry offered, I left MPN in 1997 and went on to hold other corporate positions within the industry, with such companies as, Tiffen Manufacturing and Kodak. An eventual eventual downsizing at Kodak catapulted me into the world of self-employement.

A full-time shooter since 2002, and with 18 years of professional experience behind me, my passion for the craft lives and breathes. My shooting style reflects an editorial approach, look and feel, with a realistic edge. Behind every person's eyes, lies a story to be told . I am a story teller. Real-life. Interpreted.®

Life is so fleeting, moving so quickly that in a blink of an eye, it's gone. My photographs, whether taken of people, places, or things, capture the stillness of moving souls, leaving its essence and beauty of the human spirit for us to see. That is my voice. That is the difference that I make.
